Position Summary Position Overview Production Coordinator is accountable for all aspects of Production and Packaging across the facility, providing direction and leadership to Production and Packaging team members. The Production Coordinator must balance and deliver requirements for Safety, Quality, Standard Throughput Rate and Continuous Improvement. This position directly reports to the Production Manager. Essential Job Functions 1. Make sure the employees are working safely and following all occupational Health and Safety regulations. 2. Drive a culture of zero tolerance with Safety \xe2\x80\x93 LOTO (lockout/tagout) and other lifesaving procedures. 3. Follow up with Production and Packaging Leads to ensure that all the equipment and machinery are set up to start. 4. Meet with the Production Coordinator from the previous shift to share pertinent information. 5. Audit and ensure online quality check are completed. 6. Provide necessary leadership to ensure both department and facility meet or exceed targets. 7. Investigate and problem solve causes of waste and downtime. 8. Conduct detailed root cause investigations for large deviations from target. 9. Lead operational improvement deliverables within production and packaging. 10. Establish and sustain a positive and cooperative employee environment through effective communications across work teams/shift and other functional areas. 11. Ensure consistency across shift teams in effective timely and fair performance and disciplinary feedback and documentation. 12. Conduct work with integrity, abiding and upholding the Code of Conduct and Company Core Values. 13. Ability to anticipate what needs to be done & commit to take ownership and ensure it gets done. 14. Responsible and accountable to manage KPIs at the production line level (Safety, Quality, Standard throughput rate, Waste, Downtime). 15. Make sure the shift report is filled out properly. 16. Make sure the paperwork is filled out properly. 17. If maintenance is required, there must be communication by email immediately and a work order must be opened to ensure that the problem is addressed. 18. If any issues are found with the product, QA must be called immediately. 19. Keep the workplace clean and well organized. 20. Make sure the waste has been collected and recorded properly. 21. Act as liaison between all service and administrative staff with packaging personnel. 22. Provide assistance with troubleshooting of unplanned breakdowns. 23. Assist and back up Production Manager. Requirements 2 years of leadership experience in a food production facility Knowledge of OSHA regulations, HACCP, and Food GMPs (in a bakery environment preferred). Technical ability to operate Bakery production and packaging equipment. Analytical ability preferred. Knowledge of Allergens control Attention to details. Excellent communication skills Able to stand for 8 hours. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits:
