The Role
We are looking for a
PRODUCTION
COOK
whose main responsibilities are:
Washing, cutting, chopping, and mixing ingredients.
Preparing various food items, including sauces, seasonings and meals
Following recipes and maintaining quality standards according to Health Regulations
Operating kitchen equipment like kettle, grills, and fryers.
Preparing and portioning ingredients according to recipes, ensuring accurate measurements and quality.
Maintaining meal consistency and ingredient quality throughout the entire production
Assisting in the inventory and receiving of required supplies
Complying with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Must have good understanding of sanitation regulations and team management abilities
Maintaining and assisting in the cleaning and organization of the general work floor as required

Additional overtime may occur during busy seasons (spring and summer).
Qualifications:
WE WILL ONLY CONSIDER STUDENT/WORKING VISA, PERMANENT RESIDENTS AND CANADIAN CITIZENS
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Has a valid Social Insurance Number to work
The ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Have a means of transportation to the facility
1-2 years of kitchen/production experience
Food Safe Level 1 certification is an asset
Work Environment:
Regularly stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during shifts
Accommodate customers and engage with people at the farmers market / events
