Youtooz creates designer toys for the heroes and role models of the internet — Youtubers, Instagram influencers, celebrities, rappers, and more. Our mission is to bring the people you already love to watch and keep up with on the internet to real life, on your desk at work, your shelf in your bedroom or even in your living room for everyone to see.


We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to join our plush team. This is a supporting role and you’ll be responsible for creating structured specification files in the Adobe suite detailing materials, dimensions, colours, stitching, and more manufacturing methods from turnarounds and concept designs made by our plush concept artists. You’ll also be responsible for assisting with feedback on samples directly with our suppliers, project management, QA and building out design systems for manufacturing handoff. The ideal candidate is skilled in Photoshop and Illustrator, has an interest in design systems, is organized and time efficient.

Responsibilities

• Create specification files in Adobe Illustrator from concepts and turnarounds detailing materials, dimensions, colours, stitching, etc. for suppliers to turn into real plush products
• Trace rasterized concepts into vector concepts in Adobe Illustrator or another vectoring program
• Provide QA and feedback to be shared with suppliers on plush samples
• Create QC inspection documents for inspectors to reference when inspecting mass-production plushies
• Create design systems to speed up or optimize the creation of spec files or other documents
• Put together reference images, examples and figures for various plush lines to assist our legal team with trademark and copyright registrations for our products
• Assist with project management of plush SKU
• Create research sheets and come up with ideas on what to make for new plush SKU
• Strong understanding of pantone colour systems for textiles and in general

Requirements

• Strong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop experience
• Strong interest in internet and pop culture
• Systematic thinker, extremely organized and detail oriented
• Excellent communicator

Bonus Points

• Experience with soft-line manufacturing (apparel, plushies, home goods, etc)
• Fluent in Mandarin
