Do you love crafting design solutions that inspire and delight? Are you a dedicated communicator, focused on clear and concise messaging? Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Merchandising Communications, you will use your artistry to produce retail facing guides and merchandising publications, enabling stellar promotional set up and execution.

About the Role

  • Provide rock-star creative design and communication solutions within an established design framework for print catalogues, brochures and guides.
  • Build layouts for print applications, provide revisions and prepare final art for production using Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Work with various teams (Marketing, Merchandising, Customer Experience & Retail Operations) to build the monthly guides for retail Promotional execution.
  • Provide professional image editing and file preparation for large format printing.
  • Build templates for automation workflow to continuously improve the production process.
  • Maintain an up-to-date library of design templates and Studio digital asset archive.
  • Prioritize concurrent projects to meet project objectives and deadlines.
  • Liaise with external pre-press vendors to troubleshoot pre-press and FTP issues.
About You
  • Three years of experience as a production artist/graphic designer in the publishing industry and/or a degree in a related field.
  • Detailed knowledge of print production, InDesign data-merging, PDF and web workflows, and FTP file transfer procedures.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of MAC OS and Microsoft Office Suite for Mac.
  • Advanced knowledge and proven ability using Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Basic knowledge of using After Effects.
  • Proven ability to set priorities, meet changing deadlines, and work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail with good aesthetic/design sense.
  • Familiarity with the LCBO Brand Guidelines and AODA requirements.
