Ember is seeking to fill a

Production Accountant

positionwithin the accounting department. The position is based out of Ember's Calgary office and reports to the Production Accounting Manager.



This role is a production accounting position that spans all facets of production, revenue and royalty accounting. It includes taking ownership of all aspects of the production accounting cycle and ensuring government regulations and royalty / facility contracts are accounted for accurately.

Key Responsibilities would include:



Full cycle Production Accounting for a set of assigned properties and holiday coverage for team members as needed. Maintain master file data setup in the Production Accounting system. Working with the other various stakeholders within the Company, is accountable for the accurate and timely production and revenue reporting for operated and non-operated properties, processing and compiling of production data, splits, and communication to various internal and external parties as required. Comprehensive understanding of field operations, ability to liaise with the field, attend onsite meetings as required, and the ability to interpret and understand measurement schematics. Property analysis ensuring accurate production and revenue monthly reporting.

Essential Experience & Skills





Minimum 5+ years experience in Production Revenue Accounting. CAPPA certification is required. Ability to prioritize multiple monthly deadlines and manage time efficiently. Working knowledge of the Metrix production accounting system, Optix, Prodview, CS Land and Petrinex. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and Vlookups. Familiarity with Qbyte FM, Energylink, Petrotranz, Power BI and Microsoft office would be an asset. Understanding of Directive 17 and AER production reporting guidelines. Clear understanding of Freehold and Gross overriding royalties, facility charges and contracts pertaining to production accounting. Strong understanding of gas and liquids gas plant allocations.
