Birchcliff is seeking an Intermediate Production Accountant to join the accounting department, reporting to the Production Accounting Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

Monthly reporting of assigned properties including oil, gas and NGL complex allocations. Full cycle revenue accounting for assigned properties at each month end. Ability to interpret and review property schematics and perform detailed analysis on assigned properties. New property setups, configuration & maintenance. Reconciling receivable accounts and booking adjusted financial entries. Invoice coding. Assist supervisor with various projects and analysis as needed. Interact with required groups within the company to ensure smooth functioning & integration of PA tasks. Work closely with operations staff to ensure that all operational changes are reported correctly. Respond to both internal and 3rd party generated queries in a timely manner.

Required Education / Experience / Skills

Must have CAPPA certification. 6+ years of Production Accounting experience in the oil and gas industry. High attention to detail & driven to meet and exceed deadline expectations. Skilled in Microsoft Excel including, but not limited to pivot tables, formulas, etc. Must have experience with full cycle reporting of Alberta operated gas plants. Marketing accounting knowledge would be an asset. Experience in the creation of vouchers in Envision or other financial systems. Strong desire and ability to operate in a deadline driven environment. Willingness to work overtime when needed. Familiarity with PAS, PVR, Essbase Excel Add-in, Hyperion and Envision vouchers would be an asset. A proven understanding & respect for a team environment. Enthusiastic individual with good communication & interpersonal skills.
