Responsibilities:
  • Fields incoming service and warranty calls. documents and effectively communicates issues with the Quality, Warranty, and Engineering Departments.
  • Advises dealers/customers of repair or replacement of parts for best possible problem resolution to maintain good customer relations.
  • Troubleshoots issues and recommends the best course of corrective action.
  • Helps create, distribute, and process service bulletins.
  • Ensures proper processes are in place to maintain them! SO standards and that SOPs, procedures, and safety policies are understood and adhered to,
  • Follows-up with customers/dealers ensuring problems are corrected accurately and timely.
  • Coordinates repair work through the service department of the customers\' servicing dealers.
  • Travels to dealer and field locations for troubleshooting and occasional repair of Schulte products.
  • In coordination with the sales team, assist in the presentation of service schools for the purpose of reviewing safety protocols and training operators and dealers in the setup, use, and service of manufactured products.
  • Works with product dealers to provide customers with product specifications, repair advice, and RGA for product returns.
  • Reviews and makes suggestions for manual improvements to enhance customer usage and understanding.
  • Assists customers in identifying parts required.
  • Works with the Engineering and Quality Departments to assist in root cause analysis regarding issues and trends brought forth through customer calls and complaints.
  • Be aware of techniques and processes that will drive improvements by reducing costs and reducing inventory levels using continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
  • Provides input and recommends changes to Schulte\'s warranty policy.
  • Assists staff in completing workload requirements on service and parts items as time permits.
  • Oversees the scheduling and maintenance of the service truck.
  • Attends industry events as directed.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in a mechanical field and/or customer service experience in an Agriculture Mechanical field
  • Heavy Duty Mechanic and/or Ag Mechanic background would be considered an asset
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal,
  • Capacity to learn relevant information on products, processes, and policies (training provided)
  • The ability to adapt to customer and dealer relationships
  • The ability to act with diplomacy when dealing with internal and external complaints
  • Good computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
