Applied Industrial Technologies is an extensive network of facilities located throughout Canada helping customers in managing their industrial critical assets. We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Product Support Specialist - Fluid Conveyance for the Ontario market. Flexibility will be granted for the right candidate to work in any Ontario location that we operate:

Key responsibilities:
  • Driving fluid conveyance sales growth across the province in OEM and Industrial markets by creating value for our customers
  • Support duties include, but may not be limited to the following:
  • Providing product identification, product interchanges and crossovers
  • Providing technical support to other CSR\'s, TSR\'s and Applied personnel as required
  • Guidance on preferred products and vendors
  • Provide assistance to Strategic Accounts Group on RFQ opportunities as required
  • Assisting with sourcing difficult to find products, and helping improve lead times
  • Providing informal product training - e.g. lunch & learn sessions
  • Providing guidance on market sell pricing recommendations
  • Participate in storeroom surveys and mechanical equipment surveys as required
  • Review sales data to make recommendations to align future sales with preferred vendors
  • Assist in negotiating Chargeback support with preferred and key vendors
  • Trouble Shoot - including but not limited to product Improvements/Change Outs
  • Participate and cooperate with branch and corporate initiatives and policies such as:
  • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
  • Quality Management System
  • Company policies and procedures
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of company\'s product and service offerings
  • Maintain and encourage respectful and diplomatic relationships across the company
  • Attend meetings as required
  • Take personal responsibility for maintaining training requirements and professional development
  • Maintain high regard for safety and housekeeping
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or Regional Manager
Preference will be given to candidates who possess the following qualifications:
  • Significant fluid conveyance product experience
  • Post secondary education in a mechanical discipline or business, but not mandatory
  • Maintain high level of knowledge and training on
  • General business principles
  • Company product & service offering
  • Vendors & customers
  • Company ERP system - SAP
  • Conduct all dealings in a professional and respectful manner as outlined in the company Code of Ethics
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Customer service commitment
  • Solid communication skills - both oral and written
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to multi task with different customers, vendors and deadlines
  • Able to work in a team environment and utilize all available resources
  • Strong computer skills in - Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
