Job Description


Product Quality Specialist As a Product Quality Specialist you will be responsible for all quality aspects of product shipments to customers. This is a dual responsibility role combining laboratory and administrative responsibilities. The emphasis of this position is on quality, reliability, organization, tidiness, and initiative. You will have the following responsibilities:

  • Maintain shipping schedule
  • Dispense products for shipment
  • Prepare shipping documents
  • Prepare and/or review quality documentation
  • Release products for shipment
  • Maintain product inventory
  • Ensure all supplies are stocked
  • Receive third party shipments
  • Test products by various analytical techniques including, but not limited to: HPLC, KF, TGA, LOD, and titration
  • Maintain product testing schedule and coordinate with internal and external laboratories: NMR, MS, others
  • Review analytical data
  • Prepare technical reports and Certificates of Analysis
  • Maintain product information
  • Respond to customer inquiries
  • Calibration of instruments
  • Maintaining log books
  • Maintaining all product quality related areas organized, tidy and visually appealing
  • Develop and implement quality stream procedures and policies
  • Contribute to and own quality initiatives
  • Internal audits
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations
  • Some driving required
Position requirements:
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry
  • Solid organic chemistry knowledge
  • Direct experience with HPLC
  • Ability to interpret proton NMR and Mass Spectroscopy data
  • Must be able to multi task with initiative
  • Strong aptitude in time management, punctuality and reliability
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Attention to detail; accuracy in all tasks performed
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, and a team player
  • Experience in cosmetics or pharmaceuticals a plus
  • Computer literate in advance applications in Excel and/or Access an asset
  • Ability to organize information in the most user friendly and efficient manner
  • Enthusiastic, positive, persistent
  • Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License a must
Job Type: Full-time Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
