We are seeking an experience Quality Specialist to work in our Guelph location. The Quality Specialist will own quality assurance with the largest focus being on customer quality. This position includes data analysis, hands-on troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and structured problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive quality improvements with customers by working closely with vendor and production areas
  • Implement quality policies to meet customer expectations and standards
  • Drive process improvement projects focused on increasing product quality
  • Initiate deviation records and coordinate / conduct investigations identifying root cause and CAPA
  • Perform internal audits to ensure ISO compliance
  • Use of Danaher Business System (DBS) across the factory and support business processes
  • Produce trending reports, KPIs on weekly / monthly basis and summarize trends
  • Respond and address suspected and confirmed quality issues raised by internal and external customers
  • Support Product teams through reporting of quality issues, leading and facilitating corrective actions and by ensuring improvements are effective and sustainable. Provide detailed root cause analysis using Problem Solving Process (PSP), and 5-why
  • Conduct assessments of assembly operations to provide focused improvement opportunities to increase quality and product reliability
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of continuous improvement projects to reduce customer complaints and improve product reliability
Measures of Performance
  • Achievement of policy deployment objectives
  • Achievement of key performance indicators (focused on Core Value Drivers)
  • Strengthening of DBS Culture
Background and Skill
  • Minimum of 5 years' of relevant quality experience, including customer, production vendor quality management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Bachelors' degree in Engineering, or related work experience
  • Certified Quality Engineer - CQE or equivalent
  • Expert knowledge of ISO certification systems
  • Comfortable performing and participating in CAPA and FMEA reviews
  • Experience in quality improvement analysis
  • Knowledge of quality tools, such as MSA, Six Sigma, SPC
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO9001) with internal auditor experience
