Product Owner/Senior Business Analyst, Digital Business Solutions - Capital Markets
Location: Montreal (remote work until further notice)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Length of term: 12 Months

About your role

As a Product Owner/Senior Business Analyst you will

• Work on solutions such as: Investment Pools and market Dashboards, Portfolio simulation tools, Core Analytics toolbox including python libraries, multiple datamarts, etc.
• Own and manage the backlog that includes defining backlog items as well as prioritize and assess business value with the clients.
• Be a key contributor to business cases, solution planning and delivery road map regarding analytics suites solutions.
• Play a frontline role liaising between technological and business partners in terms of financial requirements' translation into user stories and/or technical specifications.
• Take ownership of complex problem-analysis assignments, recommend efficient solutions and being an enabler of their implementations.
• Be a key contributor to solution design and ensure alignment with business goals and requirements.
• Facilitate and/or contribute to the SDLC for new enhancements from planning, design, development, testing and implementation.
• Play a key role in support maintenance, incident resolution, problem solving and continuous improvements regarding the trading/investment and operations suites solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in the financial investment industry is a crucial asset.
• Experience as Product Owner in the analytics/investment field within an agile environment is a crucial asset. Product Owner Certification is a plus.
• Seven+ years of business and systems analysis experience in financial investment applications and solutions.
• Experience with Analytics suites solutions (PowerBI, Azure Analytics, B-PIPE, BBG MARS) is a crucial asset.
• Solid understanding of various BI/Analytics design patterns.
• Knowledge of Capital Markets investments and/or financial certifications (CFA, FRM, etc.) is a strong asset.
• Proficient with Python and SQL language for data analysis is a strong asset.
• Working knowledge of traditional database/infrastructure: Windows, Microsoft (MS) SQL Server.
• Excellent French and English language verbal and written communication skills.
