Responsibilities

  • Design and develop all marketing strategies and programs: drive demand for our products with creative and innovative marketing practices
  • Communicating the vision and benefits of new product releases to sales teams and developing sales tools to enhance the sales process.
  • Performing research through focus groups, surveys, interviews and analysis of sales data.
  • Researching competitor pricing, marketing content and strategies.
  • Analyze sales data and channel information and then create plans to improve product line sales most likely using marketing and sales techniques.
  • Proven ability to influence cross functional teams without formal authority. The ability to influence and work collaboratively with sales and customer care.
  • Market Intelligence \xe2\x80\x93 be the expert on our buyers, who they are, how they buy and their key buying criteria.
  • Understanding the competitive landscape \xe2\x80\x93 be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer personas.
  • Understand and document our buyer\xe2\x80\x99s process, including where they get the information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make. Then drive change to our sales and customer care processes based on what you learn.
  • Develop a marketing plan for the products in conjunction with sales team, including key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.
  • Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support your products on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on required changes.
  • Understand and support our sales channels; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users; develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it.
  • Oversee brand data and analytics and emerging market trends to strategize ways to increase market share.
  • Negotiates contracts for advertising, marketing, and promotions.
  • Manage digital engagement platform such as social media to serve as a single central location for internal and external partners to access marketing materials, samples, and promotional goods.
  • Own the technology and strategy to facilitate sample programs.
  • Assisting with content creation, such as case studies, videos, website copy and blog posts.
  • Report to the General Manager
Qualifications

-Post Secondary Education in Business or Marketing -2-3 years of overarching product marketing experience (e.g. delivering presentations to customers and prospects, conducting competitor analysis and market research.)
-Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office.
Power user of networking tools such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
-Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is or isn\xe2\x80\x99t working.
-Must be strong public speaker, comfortable in front of large, senior groups, and solid writer.
-Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties. Team Player!
