Product Manager - About this role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to join our team and oversee our suite of technology products, including our flagship product Upsiide. This is a pivotal role where you will work both tactically and strategically, driving product direction while advocating for our clients' needs and aligning those with business goals. You will collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, customer success and leadership, ensuring that all teams are working towards delivering outstanding results.
Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Own the Product Lifecycle: Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle of Upsiide and related products, from strategy and vision to tactical execution.
  • Client Advocacy: Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring client feedback is incorporated into product development and helping maintain strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work closely with internal teams (engineering, design, marketing, customer experience) to drive the product forward and deliver on client needs.
  • Leadership Engagement: Regularly interface with company leadership to align product initiatives with business objectives and provide updates on key developments.
  • Agile Product Management: Lead product initiatives using agile methodologies, ensuring effective sprint planning, backlog grooming, and prioritization.
  • Technical Understanding: Leverage your technical background (in engineering or design) to bridge the gap between product requirements and technical execution.
  • Decision-making and Leadership: Be a decisive and open leader, guiding the team through product challenges and keeping the product on track for success.
  • Product Roadmap Development and Documentation: Create and maintain a clear and actionable product roadmap that aligns with strategic goals and reflects customer priorities. Maintain product documentation that your colleagues can use to guide design / UX and influence technical decisions.
  • Data-Driven Strategy and Optimization: Leverage data analytics and user insights to make informed decisions that drive product improvement. Continuously monitor product metrics, user feedback, and market trends to optimize performance and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate product vision, updates, and performance to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across the organization.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to internal teams and customers, ensuring they understand the product's features and benefits.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with product development and implementation and come up with mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
  • Feedback Loops: Establish robust feedback loops with clients and users to continually refine and improve the product based on real-world usage and insights.
  • Data-Driven Strategy and Optimization: Leverage data analytics and user insights to make informed decisions that drive product improvement. Continuously monitor product metrics, user feedback, and market trends to optimize performance and ensure alignment with business goals.
Experience, Skills and Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in product management or related, preferably in a SaaS environment.
  • Experience working in an agile environment and familiarity with leading multiple Scrum teams and ceremonies.
  • Knowledge of product management and tech tooling - we use Jira and Notion.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and align around shared goals.
  • Some level of technical background, whether from engineering, design, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make strategic decisions that drive the business forward.
  • Located in Toronto or open to working remotely with some travel.
Good Assets to Have:
  • Experience working with AI-based products (not required, but a bonus).
  • A proactive, open, and outgoing personality with a passion for innovation.
