Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

You will assume overall accountability for the product lifecycle of their assigned product(s) for North America beginning from product brainstorming and following through to product delivery and deployment. You will gather and analyze competitive and market intelligence and understanding our customers\' needs and requests. Based on market intelligence and Moneris\' company-wide strategies, the Product Manager grows a product roadmap to ensure the profitability and viability of the products within the assigned portfolio. Within Moneris, the Product Manager is the central point for the voice of the customer. To be successful, you will work with Technology counterparts to achieve corporate goals.

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a Hybrid model.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Director, Third-party Acquirers

Your Moneris Career - What you\'ll do

  • Identify and define product opportunities and product requirements, through customer insights, customer visits, competitive and trend analysis, functional gap analysis, feedback from Technology to product roadmap that meets our overall strategy and goals.
  • Develop an 18 month - 3 year product roadmap for assigned portfolio.
  • Manage all elements of the product life cycle including gathering and creating product requirements, introducing new features (including determining the appropriate product solution bundle), retiring outdated or redundant features, and providing product support for product launches
  • Prioritize product requirements against resources and revenue opportunities to maximize impact of future releases against achieving published corporate priorities
  • Manage, solicits and obtains feedback from clients, sales, technology and operations on tech trial and pilot, to deliver best in market solution and address any remediation needed before commercial launch.
  • Provide Internal and external product demonstrations and training (train the trainer)
  • In collaboration with Technology, works with third-party companies/vendors to assess partnership opportunities, and managing such relationships
  • Identify success and performance metrics of product offerings within assigned products, and adjusting to achieve targets
  • Work with Product Commercialization, Operations and Sales to ensure that products meet product launch success criteria
  • Become the product SME and our go-to person and industry expert.
  • Assist the Sales and Client Integration teams in product presentations to main accounts and the preparation of sales proposals and responses to RFPs.
Your Moneris Career - What you bring
  • University degree in Business/ Commerce or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5-7 years of Product Management experience including a track record in developing product roadmaps and requirements gathering; experience in related markets.
  • Technical understanding preferably in the software development product life cycle
  • Hands-on experience with devices, handsets, accessories, terminals; willingness to experiment and use the technology that is being developed
  • Project management experience with project lifecycle management in a technology-dependent environment.
  • Business and financial acumen with experience identifying opportunities, gaps or improvements, and recommending solutions to complex issues.
  • Experience with Visio
  • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences with the ability to translate technology into simple language and product requirements into technical language.
Nice-to-have...
  • Understanding of programming languages, APIs, technical architecture
  • Previous experience in the payment industry
