Product Manager, Mobile Client (Senior Associate)

Capital One and the Canada Mobile team are looking for a product manager to lead our mobile team.

In this role, you will help define and build outstanding features and experiences for Capital One mobile app customers to drive mobile app adoption and engagement. This involves defining and building the roadmap, talking to customers, deep diving on issues, developing go-to-market strategies, and managing customer and business outcomes.

This role is inherently cross-functional - you will work closely with other product managers, engineering, design, operations, marketing, and senior leadership members. As a feature team contributing to the mobile app platform, you will collaborate with the mobile platform product and engineering teams to build core capabilities that support the ongoing improvements to the mobile platform.

Successful candidates are rigorous at prioritization and excellent storytellers who can collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders, with a particular emphasis on fellow technologists. In this role you will hold a high bar for customer experience and human-centered design throughout the product lifecycle while leveraging a data-driven approach that reflects a grounded understanding of business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with business, product, and tech stakeholders to build roadmap and successfully deliver new features and capabilities

Define product vision and OKRs (objectives and key results)

Define requirements and scope of development for new product features and ongoing feature enhancements

Continually manage product backlog and project management activities: refine and prioritize product backlog to reflect accurate scope, effort, and impact; write and prioritize user stories and define acceptance criteria

Secure stakeholder approvals for new initiatives (regulatory, legal, privacy, etc)

Follow and adhere to new feature development and release processes and secure launch approval

Monitor post-launch performance and share learnings and insights back with the team to inform product roadmap and priorities

Competencies:

Strong quantitative and qualitative skills; able to make data-driven decisions and provide recommendations to drive action

Strong organization and prioritization skills; able to weigh multiple inputs and provide recommendations to drive results

Strong interest in technology and the ability to understand the entire tech stacks and partner with the technical team to build, deliver and maintain products

Ability to establish and maintain a high level of credibility with different stakeholders

Strong storytelling skills and a great communicator; can present complicated solutions to non-technical audience and can advocate for customer and business needs

Has a "Product Mindset": curious, open-minded, and likes to learn and share knowledge. Champions a test-and-learn philosophy and looks for opportunities for continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience in Product Management

1-3 years of experience successfully delivering a software product to end users

1-3 years of experience working in an agile environment

Experience working in similar field such as financial services, technology, or operations

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering or other relevant field

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with Native Android and iOS applications

Experience in information architecture and design system projects with an emphasis on reusable and scalable components

Experience in basic coding and/or analytical tools (e.g. SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, QuickSight, New Relic) to monitor feature performance
