Under the immediate authority of the Power Quality Center Manager, Capacitors & Filters Division, the Product Engineer is responsible for the marketing component and carries out activities relating to the mechanical and electrical design of capacitor units and capacitor banks. Primary location: St. Laurent Montreal campus Secondary location: Binome, Quebec City Remote option available
Responsibilities: Establish strong communication and interaction with the personnel from the Regional Sales Offices, the Regional Managers and the customers. Prepare and submit bids based on the customer\'s specifications. Liaise constantly with the customers/representatives/Regional Managers with respect to the bid development and process. Ensure the design of products and/or systems. Analyze the content of the orders received to ensure their compliance with the bid requirements and negotiated agreements, this from a commercial and technical point of view (terms and conditions). Provide technical support to the customers and the Sales Representatives/Regional Managers through proper knowledge of products Verify the drawings of the bank components and, from time to time, participate in the approval process. Visit customers, make presentations, where required. Ensure achievement of all objectives. Update the database of the Product Engineers (QuoteLog and SalesForce.com) for all bids and orders completed. Within his scope of authority and competence, perform all other tasks not specifically mentioned in the present description and required by his immediate supervisor.
Your background: Bachelor or college degree in electrical engineering Graduated from IGEE (https://igee.ca/)will be considered as asset 2 to 5 years of experience in similar role Excellent knowledge of MSOffice Diligent and enthusiastic, team spirit Knowledge of capacitors and power systems considered as a strong asset Knowledge of Salesforce.com will be consider as an asset Willingness to travel, as needed 10% and more.
