About The Team

The Factory is an exciting, innovative and growing team with the mission of transforming the app landscape across TD Securities. We do this by designing and developing next-gen platforms that produce a tangible impact to all business areas that depend on them. We\'re a specialized team of builders with a focus on front-end development, UI/UX design and architecture.

As part of The Factory, you will lead the product creation process for a diverse range of apps through design, systems analysis and strong understanding of the engineering process. This includes modernizing legacy products and designing new, cutting-edge solutions like a Workspace of MicroUIs powered by Interoperability. You will work closely with an engineering team to build and deliver these products to our business users.

We also strive to create a fun, but professional and inclusive work culture here at The Factory. In the last year, we have coordinated numerous team socials with activities like bowling, boat cruises, park hangouts and gaming at the local arcade.

About This Role We are looking for someone to embrace a broad range of tasks associated with developing application and systems solutions to address business challenges. Sitting in this position will help expand your knowledge, strengthen your expertise and introduce you to the inner workings of our business alongside a team of seasoned, diversely-skilled technology professionals. Meaningful work is fueled by meaningful performance and career development conversations with your manager. Here\'s some of what you may be asked to perform:

• Deeply understand the needs of the business to create detailed requirements for given project(s)
• Transform those requirements into stunning UI mocks in Figma, with a focus on User Experience
• Partner with our engineering team to develop a tangible and unified vision for the product
• Build meaningful relationships with the business and end-users alike
• Identify new product improvement opportunities from regular feedback and communication with our end users
• Work with the engineering team to create a product roadmap to ensure transparency with stakeholders
• Help us scale our design practice with innovative new processes and approaches
• Work directly with technology and business owners to report progress, discuss technical solutions/problems
• Innovate upon the existing solutions and propose more efficient ways of accomplishing business goals through mocks and design
• Create complete user interface designs for web-based applications to accommodate business requirements using best UX practices

Minimum Requirements

• A degree or diploma in Finance, Design or Computer Science related fields
• Strong academic background (e.g., computer science, engineering).
• 3+ years of professional experience as Analyst, Product Designer or Engineer in Capital Markets or related fields
• You are highly proficient at understanding business domains without prior knowledge
• You are incredibly creative with an eye for designing stunning products
• You can create high-fidelity Figma mocks in short timeframes with an iterative approach
• You have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• You can understand business needs and work with engineers to design and deliver products
• You have proven ability to thrive in a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• You have at least some experience leading projects as a business analyst
• You possess solid understanding of development to be able to communicate to the engineering part of the team

• Proficient and efficient with designing in Figma.
