Archifibe Inc. is a fast-growing global manufacturer of flexible, lightweight, easy to install and cost-effective ezoBord acoustical ceiling and wall products made of highly efficient and recyclable materials. iVekter Inc., located in Mississauga, is looking for a qualified and experienced Product Development and Design Associate. The new hire, together with other design staff members, will be responsible for managing and contributing to new product development projects beginning from concept to design to prototyping, to manufacture. Responsibilities include designing new products and components, producing technical drawings, renderings, 3D printing, and hands-on prototyping, mock-up building and proof of concept activities. Additional duties include preparation of handling, installation and assembly drawings. This position involves use of project management software and requires regular reporting to management and working with marketing and other internal and external team members and partners. Therefore, excellent communication and organization skills are essential. The successful candidate will also be trained in quoting projects, and involved in project quoting. Quoting is an essential skill which helps the product designer remain conscious of cost when designing, customizing and building new products. Requirements

• Must be able to read and interpret reflected ceiling and/or floor plans to determine appropriate product applications and/or product and hardware recommendations for projects and applications
• Must have relevant manufacturing/engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) and experience
• Experience with CNC cutting tables
• 3 years minimum related work experience
• Must be an independent thinker, able to take an assertive stance to enforce the key requirements of quality and the customer
• CAD experience, and proficiency with SolidWorks & Rhino, or equivalent
• Proficiency with Office365 suite
• Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to effectively manage time and conflicting priorities
• Strong and friendly interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, build rapport with the team
• Understanding of custom architectural project workflow
• Experience in architectural or building material products an asset
• Experience in acoustical materials an asset
• Experience using ClickUp is an asset
• Experience in point of purchase or retail graphics CNC cutting and assembly methods of different materials an asset
• Must have a driving license and a car
