Job Summary The Product Delivery Manager is responsible for the delivery of Product from initial development, through deployment and adoption, ongoing support and ultimately to end of life.

The Product Delivery Manager will implement, test, deliver, and support their products throughout their life cycle. They will work collaboratively with the Product Manager, Product Family Leader, and the Architecture team to deliver a high quality product that is fully integrated with other products in the Product Family and across the portfolio of products.

In this role you will:
  • Fulfill the Product Roadmap with on time releases that provide solutions to the business with high quality and within budget.
  • Deliver products that align with the enterprise architecture and technology direction of NAV CANADA and are consistent with enterprise priorities.
  • Drive deployment and adoption of product releases with the impacted business teams.
  • Provide effective product support to ensure a high degree of end user satisfaction.
  • Follow an effective control framework on production systems and ensure new systems meet internal compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to and follow a consistent product delivery framework and associated controls.
  • Maintain effective and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders involved in product delivery at all levels.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship and positive leadership of the Product Delivery team to maintain a healthy and productive workplace.
  • Work effectively and in a highly collaborative fashion with other teams in Technology
  • Delegate effectively and monitor progress to achieve expected results
  • Accountable and responsible for a team of Technology professionals working through technical leads and specialists.
  • Provide direct management for Business Analysts focused on testing, developers and other related technical resources (including directing & monitoring day-to-day activities, determining staff requirements, conducting regular performance assessments and conferring discipline).
  • Manage delegated portion of the Director\xe2\x80\x99s budget by monitoring and reporting activity against budgets and responding to variances.
  • Commit corporate funds through the authority to negotiate, conclude and manage professional resources contracts
  • Ensure the responsible use of all resources and assets for the benefit of NAV CANADA; manage operating and capital expenditures in line with applicable budgets and approvals, and in accordance to stated company and IM objectives and priorities.
  • Lead projects according to standards set by the Project Delivery Group
What you bring:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or IT Project Management or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience as a delivery manager
  • 3-5 years of experience managing people in a business or IT environment
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the delivery of information technology solutions
  • Familiarity with the principles of product management
  • Experience in Billing and Accounting systems
  • Experience in Project Management

Working Conditions:
  • This position is based at Ottawa Logistics Centre and may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement.
  • Travel is required less than 10% of the time
