McCormick Canada is seeking a full-time Sr Product Manager on the North America Consumer Products Division Marketing Team. This new hire will work in a hybrid capacity based out of our Mississauga or London, ON Office.The Sr Product Manager will report to a Marketing Director, Convenient Meals Design.

The Sr Product Manager will assist in building growth plans and delivering sales and profit objectives for the Dry Recipe Mix business. The Sr Product Manager will be responsible for building, coordinating and executing strategic and tactical commercial plans, including category productivity projects, innovation and brand/product refresh activities to deliver against a 5yr pipeline. The Sr Product Manager will lead cross-functional teams to commercialize new products and shopper initiatives, contribute to consumer & shopper target refinement and need state development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and prioritize growth initiatives based on consumer, category, and white space analysis.
  • Develop shelf-back shopper strategy that drives category productivity across base business items and proposed innovation items
  • Support the creation and execution of a 5yr product pipeline, ensuring pipeline initiatives enable successful financial sufficiency and support equity choices for the brand/category
  • Lead new product business case development, financial forecasting, supply chain, pricing, P&L structure and recommended in-market execution.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to commercialize new products, and support category renovation initiatives inclusive of PLP sustainability project
  • Work closely with Marketing Insights team to develop breakthrough ideas that deliver on defined business objective and manage initiative learning plans to ensure connectivity to consumer needs.
  • Lead projects that meet initiative targets for sales and margin. Identify multi-year cost saving opportunities to enhance new item margin over time.
  • Support leadership in LTP development and annual plans
  • Develop and manage interns and mentor others as applicable
  • Exercise discretion regarding strategic recommendations, data and sources, analytic conclusions, and financial recommendations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, or related field required
  • Minimum 5 years of marketing and/or sales experience
  • Demonstrated significant and relevant skills and results in consumer packaged goods
  • Strong project leadership experience with demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and P&L\xe2\x80\x99s
  • Expertise in syndicated databases, market research, business and brand planning, advertising, finance, promotional activities and consumer communications
  • Sound understanding of concepts, principles and practices in Marketing (functional expert) and a working knowledge of practices in other areas including Sales, Finance and Supply Chain
  • Deep understanding of the industry sector and competitive landscape across multiple segments
  • In-depth understanding of how own area integrates with other Marketing areas and with other functional areas such as Sales, Finance and Supply Chain
  • Excellent analytical skills as well as evaluative judgment based on the analysis of factual and qualitative information in complicated or novel situations
  • Filters, prioritizes, analyzes and validates potential complex and dynamic material
  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills required to guide, influence, and convince others (internal and external)
  • Strong cross-functional strategic leadership, communication and teamwork skills
