Procurement - Team Lead

Main Functions

The Procurement - Team Lead will support the Lallemand Plant Care business unit, more specifically, the North American Commercial team through:

  • Coordination of staged finished goods that are produced for sale at internal and third-party manufacturing sites.
  • Fulfills purchasing requirements by issuing and tracking purchase orders (PO\xe2\x80\x99s) for finished goods, materials, and packaging.
  • Maintains a professional working relationship with inter-company and third-party suppliers.
  • Organizes supplier catalogues related to supply and purchasing.
  • Closely monitors product quality standards and implements corrective actions related to customer complaints.
  • Oversees all responsibilities of the NA Procurement team, including managerial responsibilities of one report, a Procurement Analyst.
Technical skills

Required
  • Procurement and sourcing techniques
  • Production planning concepts
  • Finance and accounting principles
  • Read and write in English and ability to follow verbal instruction
  • Strong familiarity of manufacturing processes
  • Experienced with Microsoft Suite of products with emphasis on Excel
  • Demand planning techniques
