About Our OpportunityAs the Procurement Specialist, you are responsible for and/or contribute to the contract management and category management processes relating to Healthcare contracts resulting from a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracting process.Qualifications and ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have a Bachelor\'s Degree plus a minimum of 5 years related experience.Related experience includes:
  • Experience working in a clinical procurement environment
  • Experience in procurement
  • Contract management
  • Project management
  • Market sounding
You also have the following skills or work experience:
  • Interpersonal and creativity skills, as well as a high degree of diplomacy in providing advice and guidance to senior management.
  • Ability to adapt rapidly to changing circumstances and environments.
  • Experience in collaboration with demonstrated experience in presentation and communication skills.
  • Building, managing, and supporting successful multi-stakeholder partnerships.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate meetings with both stakeholders and vendor industry (in-person and virtually).
  • Advanced demonstrable time management and organizational skills are required.
  • Possess a keen understanding of healthcare\xe2\x80\x99s nuances and considerations associated with procurement activities for this sector; specifically, the acute and/or continuing care sectors.
  • Have a strong customer service orientation with experience in delivering excellence in client service.
  • Have a professional demeanor as a front facing procurement representative.
  • Excellent skills with the Microsoft Office suite especially Excel and Word
  • Proven team player working collaboratively with management, peers & client.
We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.Assets Include:
  • Completion or partial completion of Certification/Training such as PMAC, PSPP, SCMA.
  • Experience working in a clinical procurement environment,
  • Experience in public procurement.
  • Experience with SAP (procurement modules) and SAP Ariba
