Job Description

Our client in the public sector is looking to hire a Procurement Specialist for a 6 months contract.

Responsibilities:
- Procurement Specialist is responsible to lead all aspects of procurement of Consulting Services, Goods, Non-Consulting Services, Vendor of Records (VORs) and other services, and procurement projects.
- Provide strategic procurement advice including the interpretation and explanation of procurement practice standards, policies, and procedures to senior level management.
- Advice to internal and external stakeholders with respect to multi-year projects, strategic sourcing and planning, outcome measurement and the need for new/revised policies is provided.
- Develop trust and business partnerships with the vendor community.
- Contract Management.
- Compliance and governance.

- 3-5 years progressive experience in procurement processes and including strong knowledge of contract administration related to claims, including amendments.
- Has administered a variety of large and small contracts.
- Experience dealing with procurement and contracts with government or regulated industry
- University degree or Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation or CPPB (Certified Professional Public Buyer), CPPO (Certified Public Procurement Officer), NIGP-CPP or equivalent preferred.
- Experience using Dynamics GP preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
