The position at a glance

Under the supervision of the Head of Procurement, the candidate will support the team in all the activities. He / She will help to maintain strong Procurement processes while continuously adapt to additional controls and workflows to ensure compliance with the CIB North America (NAR) platform.

In detail

  • Issue the Request for Proposals (RFPs), including developing the bid documents, managing the bid process while ensuring fairness and compliance, evaluating proposals and negotiating contracts with suppliers in order to obtain the best contract price and terms to protect the bank.
  • Analyze spend activity and identifying opportunities to aggregate demand, standardize and minimize costs.
  • Analyze data, reconcile various data sources to develop required reports on a regular basis to track and monitor various areas of NA Procurement to optimize procure to pay controls.
  • Assist with the middle office activities for NAR in collaboration with teams in India.
  • Liaise with internal departments on various procurement inquiries.
  • Track all aspects of the sourcing process, from initial business requirements, followed by management validation to final engagement execution.
  • Participate to improvements to our BNP Paribas North America Procurement standard tools (e.g., Ariba, Ivalua, IQN) in compliance with regional controls.
  • Provide support to internal clients when facing Procurement services issues.
  • Work cross functionally with the various stakeholders in US and in Canada.
  • Negotiate, contribute to the Procurement Cash savings objectives as the Procurement services processes are streamlined and implemented.
Qualifications

The strengths and skills that will help you succeed
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business, finance, engineering, economics or applied sciences.
  • 1+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in procurement preferred.
  • Knowledge of the English language is required.
  • Excellent work ethics and ability to work with confidential information.
  • Interpersonal skills to successfully collaborate with various teams of professionals and liaise with internal and external groups/ individuals, locally, regionally and globally.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations in a timely and effective manner.
  • Critical thinking while considering impact on overall business.
  • Very good knowledge of Procurement operation as it relates to category management, including IT, external resources.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, Visio.
  • Experience and knowledge with supply management tools/ software including procurement and project management programs ( i.e. Ariba, IQN, Hiperos, Ivalua) \xe2\x80\x93 an asset.
