Job Summary

The Receivables Management Office (RMO), of the Ministry of Finance develops and manages the overall strategy and business procedures in the collection of delinquent accounts for all tax and non-tax programs, and loan portfolios overseen by the Ministry.

The RMO is continuously developing and implementing more effective policies, systems and business processes supporting the consolidation of debt portfolios, the consistent application of early intervention across collection portfolios, and the transfer of non-tax portfolios from other ministries to the Ministry of Finance.

This position supports the delivery of financial and administrative services as they relate to collections and revenue management for the branch. Reviewing, researching, analyzing and resolving issues related to ministry wide trust and revenue operations; the administration of receivables and general ledger accounts and the preparation and analysis of various financial reports.

Job Requirements:

  • Secondary school graduation and enrolment in a recognized financial management program plus 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 related work experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered.


Related experience must include 2 years recent experience in each of the following:
  • Experience providing customer service to clients.
  • Experience maintaining, adjusting, balancing and reconciling financial transactions in an accounts receivable/payable role.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting financial information and performing adjustments.
  • Experience in the application of general finance and administration policies and procedures.


Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
  • Experience working with and understanding the government Corporate Financial System (CFS) CAS Oracle.
  • Experience working in a debt collection; or enforcement; or compliance environment.
