Your Role: Reporting to the Manager of Accounting Operations, the Procurement Coordinator will play an integral role in the global procurement function. You will be responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the procurement function and ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures. This is a dynamic, interactive role with lots of room for growth in this up and coming team. Your inquisitive nature, creative thinking, and emotional intelligence will be put to use as you work with stakeholders from across the business to strengthen relationships with our valued vendors. Your Job:

  • Responsible for day-to-day purchasing activities including issuing purchase orders and managing the procurement inbox as the first line of contact for questions from stakeholders and vendors
  • Collaborate with accounts payable for purchasing related inquiries, coding, and recordkeeping matters
  • Own the vendor setup process including due diligence, vetting, creation, and maintenance of vendor accounts; ensuring completeness of the vendor record and related artefacts
  • Manage, vet, and triage the procurement intake process to ensure completeness of information and adherence to procurement policies by requestors
  • Perform sourcing activities for products and services to help meet internal stakeholders\' needs such as researching software vendors and their competitors to compare same or similar products and pricing
  • Actively participate and engage in continuous improvement strategies and cost reduction initiatives
  • Maintain and update purchasing portal and expenditure tracking databases
  • Organize and prepare information for weekly procurement cross-functional meetings
  • Collate, validate, organize, and mine data to build reports to help stakeholders manage and forecast spend
  • Perform and present KPI reporting to stakeholders
  • Take a leading role in procurement process improvement initiatives
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships and perform cyclical vendor management with cross-functional business stakeholders
  • Other ad hoc duties as required
The global nature of the company and the position will require some flexibility in working hours in order to ensure sufficient interaction across time zones. About You:
  • A minimum 2 years\' experience in an administrative role, preferably in a corporate environment
  • Post-secondary education in IT, Business, and/or Accounting with a good understanding of financial terminology
  • Procurement experience will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge and experience with ERP systems is highly desirable
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to learn quickly and respond to changing priorities and demands
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to interact effectively across multiple divisions/departments
  • Ability to exercise tact and discretion and to be entrusted with confidential information
  • Impeccable accuracy with numbers and high attention to detail
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.) and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency, prioritize work and meet objectives/deadlines
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to write clear and professional business communications
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity or experience with the Salesforce CRM system and cloud-based applications is an asset
  • Experience in a Software as a Service company is an asset
