Want to know more about the role?*
At our Head Office based in Richmond BC, this role will take responsibility for ensuring projects are tracked and followed through from PO issue to, vendor management, and finally to client delivery. Let\xe2\x80\x99s get into the detail. This role will:
  • Provide support to SVP Procurement & Director of Supply Chain to plan and execute on vendor work assignment process
  • Monitor progress of projects and manage follow up communications with vendors to ensure timely delivery & replenishment of forecasted inventory requirements
  • Execute and coordinate the purchases requisitions/ orders. Creative problem solving to address new circumstances or issues that arise
  • Arrange alternate solutions in the event of shortages or delayed deliveries occur to minimize impact on the inventory requirments
  • Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments to ensure key responsibilities are delivered upon
  • Analyze and evaluate vendors/ suppliers\xe2\x80\x99 performance on a per PO basis in alignment with quality vendor scorecard to improve the overall process and service
  • Stay current with internal and external factors impacting supply chain industry
  • Execute the organization\xe2\x80\x99s purchasing policies and procedures, standards and strategies
  • Manage an assigned vendor portfolio with responsibility to maintain a solid relationship and coordinate all day-to-day activities with the vendors
  • Execute and process claims against suppliers. Ensure the accurate processing of all debits/ damages, chargebacks and transfers based on Company policies and procedures
  • Organize, secure and maintain files and documentation in the database
  • Prepare routine reports for the Purchasing department
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

  • A degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management and/or equivalent field
  • A minimum of 3 years previous experience in purchasing; direct handling of products, including evaluation of cost and quality of materials, equipment, products or services
  • Excellent coordination and scheduling skillset and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, multi-task and work under high pressure
  • Enhanced computer and Microsoft excel skillset; ability to work with more complex software and systems.
