Summary The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for the efficient operation of the Company\xe2\x80\x99s procurement activities. This includes the creation and issuance of Purchase Orders, expediting of materials, updating of Bills of Material, and tracking of material.
Qualifications

  • High School diploma
  • Intermediate experience in an office position
  • This work requires knowledge of the parts and components utilised in the construction and fabrication of high voltage utility and associated control panels/equipment. 1-3 years purchasing experience is preferred.

  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Proficient communicator who can present well and influence others when appropriate.
  • Able to understand work-based problems and analyze them to develop appropriate solutions.
  • Capable planner who is able to organise the resources at his/her disposal to achieve the best results.
  • Able to manage time and workload efficiently.
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Experience in Sage/Intacct Software is an asset.
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills will be required.
  • Must possess working knowledge of the appropriate materials, equipment, supplies, services and other commodities.
  • Ability to strategically assess and mitigate risks with vendors and suppliers.

Duties
  • Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Coordinator role is responsible for the efficient operation of the Company\xe2\x80\x99s procurement processes.
  • Support projects in procuring materials and parts for the efficient operation of projects.
  • Work with project managers and construction supervisors to issue purchase orders for all materials, subcontracted services, and equipment.

Employment Pre-requisites and Requirements
  • D&A Testing and a background check is a mandatory requirement of this position
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers license
