Job Description


SNC Lavalin, Dragados, Pennecon (SDP) General Partnership is looking for a Safety Advisor to join the West White Rose Project team in Newfoundland. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will provide key safety measures throughout the duration of the project. RESPONSIBILITIES Procurement Coordinator (PC) will:

  • Provide support to the Procurement Team in the purchase and delivery of third party goods & services;
  • Work with suppliers and with AP to ensure accounts are in good standing;
  • Provide support to the Site Buyers in the area of Vendor Management on site consumables and other services to ensure Project milestones are met and committed costs are not exceeded.
MAIN TASKS AND DELIVERABLES
  • Support Site Buyers in
- the management of RFQs from requisition through to award, with adherence to
competitive bid processes and to approval policies and procedures - the issuance of PO revisions, with adherence to Change Management policies and
procedures - the management of Project frame agreements including cost tracking. - Vendor Management including working with various stakeholders to resolve
problems and disputes. Stakeholders may include suppliers, Engineering and
Construction, Quality, HSE, Cost and Finance, the Senior Management Team and
the client.
  • Support both Site Buyers and Material Management by tracking orders for required
on site dates and for committed delivery dates from suppliers, expedite as required.
  • Cost stewardship and reporting duties.
  • Maintain records and filing systems to ensure a complete record and to ensure
compliance with Project policies and procedures and with best practices in
Procurement and Finance.
  • Formal Closeout of packages and agreements.
  • Contribute to the team\xe2\x80\x99s efforts in the Continuous Improvement of Project processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree or college diploma in business administration or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years vendor management experience in an engineering environment, specifically in the construction or shipbuilding industries or a comparable heavy industry, preferably in long lead purchasing.
  • Understanding of compliance issues affecting other disciplines such as QA, HSE and Labour \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience working in purchasing systems.
  • Strong skills in Excel and basic Microsoft Office programs.
  • Familiarity with P2P processes.
  • Excellent written and oral skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers and external partners.
  • Willingness to travel to the Argentia, NL site.
  • Project experience considered an asset.
