What you will be doing The Procurement Center Manager leads the Procurement Center (PC) of Loyalist, providing leadership to the Operational Expense (Opex) Procurement Team and the Indirect Materials Warehouse Team. This role actively and autonomously drives the added-value contribution of Procurement to the internal departments, while ensuring business alignment and fine-tuning and respecting policies, strategies and procedures. Additionally, this role will develop the indirect materials warehouse into a well-functioning support function to guarantee uptime of the plant.
Opex Procurement Team of Loyalist:

• Local category sourcing - large spot-buys & small spot-buys
• Contract implementations
• Market intelligence and spend analysis
• Local suppliers? management
• Helpdesk: customer service, supplier assistance and business issues
• Order administration & follow up
• Responsible for vendor master data

Indirect Materials Warehouse Team:

• Introduce and maintain a safe working environment and strive for zero accidents
• Optimally manage stock taking and internal deliveries
• High level follow-up of internal and external warehouses of all sites in view of cost & efficiency
• Responsible to set up PC Loyalist procedures and standardization regarding Opex procurement and warehousing in alignment with RBM Support Service strategy and Umicore P&T general procedures and guidelines
• Develop operational business continuity plans in support of existing and new programs

Validate and challenge category strategy for local categories

• Take a strategic and long-term view in identifying and developing innovative sources and contractual arrangements, and establish the targets in alignment with internal departments
• Ensure that departments? needs are reflected in the local category strategies
• Establish spend baselines and category profiles, inclusive risk assessment, supplier relationship management and procure to pay strategy
• Prepare and lead agreement negotiations in cross-functional teams.

Who we are looking for
Functional requirements

• BS in Business or Logistics
• Excellent knowledge of procurement
• Minimum 5-7 years experience in logistics and/or business
• Prior management experience (leading a team of at least 7 people)
• Knowledge of basic HR and accounting is a plus
• Must be fluent in both oral and written English
• Capable user of PC MS office applications & SAP systems
• Demonstrated negotiation skills and understanding of contracts
• Good mix of conceptual and strategic thinking with practical execution
