The Regional Distribution Center Manager (Depot Manager) will lead all aspects of performance and operations of Regina, SK and Brampton, ON Parts Depots with responsibilities including safety, quality and customer satisfaction, productivity, cost, employee engagement and environmental objectives. This position ensures efficient depot operations when processing receipts and shipments to support our domestic dealer network and their retail customers.

This individual should be local to Regina, SK, CA or the Brampton/Toronto, ON, CA areas. The ability to travel one week per month to the secondary facility location will be expected.

Responsibilities

  • A primary expectation is to safely improve productivity throughout seasonal volume fluctuations via careful management of overtime and agency staffing within headcount and expense budgets.
  • Manage/maintain capital assets and purchase indirect material
  • Ensure work environment free from hazards
  • Achieve & maintain a strong safety culture; lead an active employee safety committee
  • Achieve quality metric targets
  • Achieve productivity objectives through continuous process improvement
  • Manage receiving, put away, re-warehousing & picking operations accurately to achieve high levels of inventory accuracy
  • Maintain depot performance records for financial and management reporting
  • Train, develop and motivate employees so as to minimize turnover
  • Manage administrative functions as per policy, procedures, and legal requirements
  • Build relationships with dealers and company field personnel
  • Establish performance goals and objectives of salaried staff to achieve depot objectives
  • Manage process improvements locally and in close coordination with 8 other stocking warehouses through the company\'s North American network
  • Responsible for 10 salary positions and approx. 40 warehouse associates/front line employees (union and non-union)
The salary range for this position is 101,000 CAD to 135,000 CAD annually. (Actual salary offered will vary and will be based on several factors including skills, experience and qualifications for the role.)

Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s Degre with at least five (5) years\' of leadership experience; OR
  • HS Diploma/GED with at least eight (8) years of relevant leadership/management experience
  • Ability to travel 30% annually (within Canada and the US)
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Proven ability to build & lead strong teams focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost
  • Evidence of success in transformational leadership role(s)
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or logistics environment that uses the Toyota Production System, Lean principles or equivalent business operating philosophy
