Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Process Operations Lead on a permanent basis at our Co-op Refinery Complex in Regina, Saskatchewan.

What you'll do:

You will be primarily responsible for providing competent and functional direction for Process Operators to ensure safe, reliable, on-specification operation of the Process Section. This direction may include activities related to normal unit operations, unit start-up, unit shut-down, operator training and/or safety training. The Process Supervisor works a rotating 12-hour day/night schedule.

  • You will lead a shift team of up to 10 process operators and provide ongoing communication, recognition, coaching and feedback to uphold a workplace culture that values teamwork, engagement and collaboration.
  • You will conduct daily process meetings to review operational status and set clear objectives for the shift team. You will also cascade key communications and implement operating plans, procedures, and programs through the Process Operators.
  • You will ensure employees are aware of and comply with all Company policies and actively supervise operators to ensure duties and responsibilities are performed in a satisfactory manner that adheres with our procedures and practices for safe operation.
  • You will prepare and deliver performance reviews for contact employees. These reviews set and evaluate performance standards for each job position.
  • During the night shift and weekends, you will coordinate the process staffing schedule to ensure adequate staffing levels by arranging coverage for short notice absences.
  • You will be trained and utilized as an on-scene commander or a fire brigade leader during emergency situations.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Production, Trades and Maintenance and:
  • You have a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of one year of post-secondary/technical training. A Power Engineering Certification (minimum 4th class), a Chemical Engineering Degree, or a Petroleum Engineering degree is a strong asset.
  • You have a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience, plus 6 years of experience within an industrial or production environment (a combined 8+ years of relevant, progressively responsible experience). A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
  • You have the skills and motivation to lead a high performing team and share our values of integrity, excellence and responsibility.
  • You have a strong mechanical aptitude and ability to problem solve; Class 5 driver's license in good standing and strong computer skills.
  • On-Scene Commander Training and Fire Brigade Leader Certificate are preferred.
  • You're honest and trustworthy, results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
