The Process Engineer - Quality will be based out of Toronto, Ontario (1551 Weston Road, M6M 4Y4) and is responsible to develop, implement and support initiatives focused on monitoring and improving product quality, standardizing base sheet and finished product quality, processes and specifications. This position is also responsible to provide cost-focused product and process development trials, coordinating between tissue manufacturing and converting, while maintaining and improving the site\xe2\x80\x99s quality management system. This is a permanent, full-time position.

The position is responsible to provide engineering leadership to operations, and to participate in the development of skill levels in operators. This includes driving projects from plan through completion, including site initiatives in various groups and activities.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Science, Quality or Engineering
• Years of Experience Required: 3-10 years of manufacturing experience
• Experience using manufacturing analysis tools including Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiments, Process Capability Studies and Six Sigma is preferred
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Enjoys fast pace and multiple competing priorities

The main duties/responsibilities of this role include:

• Product development \xe2\x80\x93 develop sampling and testing plan, analyze and report results, provide recommendations
• Lead site quality initiatives to minimize consumer complaints
• Facilitate Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma site initiatives
• Coordinate the QIR process (initiation, RCFA with operating groups, communication, check and adjust on implemented countermeasures over time)
• Maintain and improve the site\xe2\x80\x99s quality management
• Lead internal and external (customer) audits for the site
• Lead and supervise Engineer COOP Students.
• Good Lab Management Practices (GLMP) Lead
