BIOVECTRA Inc. is a leading bio-science business in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, focused on contract manufacturing and product development of active pharmaceutical ingredients, pharmaceutical intermediates, and bioreagents.

BIOVECTRA Inc. has an opening for a Process Development Lab Steward. This is a permanent, full-time position located in Charlottetown, PE.

The candidate will be responsible for:

• Performing support activities in the PD lab, which will include chemical inventory management, organizing and cleaning glassware, equipment, and workspaces.
• Performing instrument calibrations and basic-level preventative and reparative maintenance on equipment.
• Organizing vendor maintenance activities on instrumentation.
• Maintaining accurate, real-time records of all laboratory activities.
• Performing required calculations, by hand or with use of spreadsheets or validated computer systems.
• Ensuring the correct status labeling of reagents and instrumentation in the PD laboratory.
• Data entry and trending data using Excel or other computerized systems.
• Responsible for contacting external companies for removing lab waste and completing all necessary paperwork.
• Adhering to BIOVECTRA\'s Health and Safety Policy as outlined in CP0010 Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Statements of Principle, and Responsibilities.
• Additional duties assigned, based on business needs and the department supervisor\'s request.

The successful candidate for this position should have:

• High School diploma or equivalency.
• Post-Secondary diploma in Biotechnology or similar field considered an asset.
• Experience working with instrumentation in a laboratory setting is considered an asset.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
