About you and this role

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Process Automation Manager in our Olefins & Aromatics (Hydrocarbons) Business located in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada.

In this role, you will support process automation efforts for Dow\xe2\x80\x99s hydrocarbons facilities and projects globally, including our first net zero carbon emission petrochemical complex project in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada.

You will lead process automation activities for small through large capital and improvement projects. You will engage in all three phases of projects: front end loading, detailed design and construction, and commissioning and startup. You will assist Operations to maintain safe, reliable, and productive operation of our facilities.

You will leverage technical know-how and implement best practice applications within your area of expertise and provide technical coaching, consulting, and support for others within the site and region. You will be an active and recognized member of our global process automation team.

Responsibilities

This will ensure knowledge is captured and shared to improve the overall consistency and effectiveness of our team members.
  • Defining and implementing a lifecycle management strategy for automation systems that support safe, reliable, and productive operation of the facilities. You will have to consider resource needs, expense or capital funding requirements, implementation plans, and training for flawless execution and minimal impact to production. You will ensure cybersecurity of these systems is effective.
