Job Description

The

Process and Quality Control Coordinator

is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) and the Quality Manual (QM) to ensure that products or services meet or exceed customer expectations and comply with regulatory requirements and established standards. This role is a blend of quality assurance (prevention of defects) and quality control (inspection and testing of products).

Key Responsibilities



Develop and Implement Procedures

: Create and update internal Quality Management System, Quality Manual, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and work instructions to ensure consistency and compliance with quality standards.

Monitor and Inspect

: Conduct regular audits and inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and final products to identify defects or deviations from specifications.

Data Analysis and Reporting

: Collect, analyze, and report quality metrics (such as defect rates, customer complaints, and test data) to management to drive data-driven decision-making.

Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)

: Lead or assist in root cause analysis for non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality issues and minimize recurrence.

Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement

: Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.

Training and Mentorship

: Train production and plant employees on quality processes, standards, and best practices to foster a culture of quality awareness.

Equipment Management

: Oversee the control and calibration of inspection, measuring, and testing equipment to ensure accuracy.

Customer and Supplier Liaison

: Work with suppliers to set quality expectations and resolve quality-related issues and support the resolution of customer complaints.

Essential Skills and Qualifications



Education

: Post secondary education in a related field such as Engineering, Quality Assurance, etc.

Experience

: Experience in a quality control or quality assurance role, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.

Technical Skills

: Knowledge of residential and commercial construction industry. Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g. Microsoft Excel), and knowledge of industry codes and standards are essential.

Soft Skills

: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, analytical, communication, and organizational skills are crucial for success in this role.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
