Join Our Pro Shop Team at Lorette Golf Course!

We seek dynamic individuals to enhance our Pro Shop Team for the busy Golf Season starting in April. We are delighted to announce openings for the following:

1 Full-Time Position (30-40 hours per week) 1 Part-Time Position (approximately 15-25 hours per week) The roles will be morning with shifts starting from 615 a.m in the summer until 2:15 p.m.

About Lorette Golf Course



Recently Voted the best 9-hole course in Manitoba, Lorette Golf Course is just a 15-minute drive southeast of Winnipeg; our facility is renowned for its vibrant customer base comprising Members, Public Players, and League Participants, and hosts numerous Tournaments and Banquets. Following our success and business growth, we are thrilled to expand our Pro Shop team, with roles available from April through the end of October. We can also work around school schedules.

Pro Shop Operational Details:

Operating hours span from 6:15 AM to 10:30 PM daily, with variations in line with seasonal daylight changes. Full-time staff can expect an 8-hour shift, while part-time shifts range between 4 to 8 hours. Shifts vary throughout the day and we pride ourselves on offering flexibility to accommodate your needs and other commitments.

Responsibilities Include:



Efficient management of Golf Shop operations and Tee Time scheduling. Delivering exceptional service and enhancing guest golfing experiences. Handling guest check-ins, sales, and operating the point-of-sale system. Maintaining Golf Shop displays and ensuring the clubhouse is in pristine condition. Collaborating with various departments to ensure a seamless service flow. Assisting with food and beverage services during peak times. Involvement in tournament preparations and execution. Additional responsibilities as needed, including roles in Beverage Cart services.

Desired Qualities, Skills, and Requirements:



Prior experience in a retail, hospitality, or customer-centric environment is preferred. Knowledge of golf will be considered an asset but not compulsory. You will be given all the skills to succeed in the role through training. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to connect and build rapport with patrons. Proficient communication abilities, particularly over the phone. A keen eye for detail to maintain operational excellence and guest satisfaction. A proactive sales approach to promote memberships, green fee packages, and merchandise. Proficiency in computer usage, including experience with POS systems. A collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for team-oriented work. The minimum age requirement is 18 years and possession (or willingness to acquire) a smart choices certification, as roles will involve alcohol service. Personal transportation is a must, given our location outside the city limits.

Compensation:

Basic wages start at $16.15 plus you earn gratuities every shift. Additional perks include golf privileges, staff discounts, and staff uniforms. The opportunity to come back seasonally for employment.
