Role Summary

One of the responsibilities of the Pro Shop Attendant is to maintain The Nest Golf pro shop operations and assist members/guests with their check-in and payment, retails sales or other needs. They will also be responsible for monitoring the pace of play and overall experience of guests. Other duties include assisting player needs and monitoring rules and regulations of the golf club.



Responsibilities

Welcoming all members and guest Facilitate and assist with merchandise sales, orders, receiving and display of retail goods Maintain the cleanliness of the Pro Shop and workstation area Inventory management Work directly with the Assistant and Head Golf Professional around daily activities. Booking Tee Times, assisting with any league/tournament event bookings. Monitor golf shop email, and respond to inquiries, as well as pass on relevant emails to the Head Professional/Club Manager. Maintain a professional appearance. Daily Cash outs, Opening/Closing of the Pro Shop Regular communication with membership to ensure we are promoting the club, its events, and other information as required Resolve member/guest issues quickly and satisfactory, and escalate to the Club Manager when required Assist with food and beverage set up and tear down when required Responsible to ensure that all rules and regulations of golf course are being followed to create a safe and friendly environment Direct golfers around the course if they are unfamiliar with the course layout Inform golfers of course policies and if someone is in violation address immediately Coordinate pace of play with Golf Operations Attendants on course Coordinate with other departments to ensure the highest level of member and guest experience Record and report all accidents, property damage or infractions to Golf Club Manager Ensure all members feel welcome, are given responsive, friendly and courteous service, and that all situations are handled in an expedited manner Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Previous experience as a Golf Operations Attendant or Pro Shop Attendant is considered an asset Knowledge of golf and golf operations Smart Serve certification is an asset Prior experience in golf operations is recommended Valid Ontario Driver's License Must possess excellent customer service skills Must be computer literate. Preferred candidate will have previous experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and golf club software Strong verbal and written communication skills Detail-oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Must be extremely responsible with integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion

Working Conditions

Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays Required to move, lift, carry, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire shift Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, and pulling
