Deliver personalized piano instruction to students of varying ages, skill levels, and musical interests. Focus on technique, musicality, repertoire development, and creative exploration in one-on-one settings.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct tailored lessons that meet each student's goals (e.g. classical, jazz, pop, exam prep, improvisation)
Teach piano fundamentals including posture, finger strength, sight-reading, ear training, and expression
Prepare students for performances, auditions, and examinations
Cultivate musical interpretation, phrasing, and stylistic awareness
Create customized practice plans and track student progress over time
Incorporate technology such as learning apps, digital keyboards, or recording tools as appropriate
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and builds confidence
Skills & Qualifications
Solid foundation in piano performance and pedagogy
Ability to work with beginners through advanced musicians
Experience with various genres including classical, contemporary, and improvisational styles
Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with music theory and notation software is a plus
Strong organizational skills for lesson planning and student tracking
