Private Dog Walker

to join our team! This role is ideal for experienced dog lovers who enjoy spending time outdoors and want to provide one-on-one care to dogs in their neighbourhood. As a Private Walker, you'll focus on building trust with each dog, ensuring every walk is safe, enriching, and tailored to their needs.

Responsibilities

Walk one dog at a time, giving each dog your full attention and care. Handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments, including large, strong, or reactive dogs, with confidence and patience. Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing updates and feedback after walks. Ensure each dog's safety and well-being during walks, keeping a close eye on their behaviour and surroundings. Provide fresh water, towel off dogs if needed, and ensure they're settled comfortably after each walk. Uphold cleanliness by picking up after dogs and following all local pet bylaws.

Requirements

Previous professional or personal experience handling dogs (especially large or reactive breeds). Confidence and skill in managing dogs with varying energy levels and temperaments. Excellent communication and reliability, you show up on time and follow through on commitments. Physically capable of walking strong dogs for extended periods and in all weather conditions. Must have reliable transportation to travel between client homes. A genuine love for dogs and commitment to their care, comfort, and safety.

Pay: $100.00-$250.00 per day
