Tonya's Tails & Trails is a local owned, small business that continues growing. We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable animal lover to join our team as a Dog Walker.

JOB REQUIRES HAVING YOUR OWN VEHICLE AND LICENSE AND DRIVING TO MULTIPLE HOUSES WITHIN CAMBRIDGE

We are hiring for the WEST GALT route. Please only apply if you live in this area.

This is a daytime position with most work between the hours of 10am-3pm Monday-Friday. Scheduling can be somewhat flexible (i.e., to work around another part-time job or school schedule) but the ideal candidate will be available as much as possible Monday-Friday Between 10am-3pm.

Walks are private and on-leash. We do not offer group/pack walks.

This is a part-time position. The successful Candidate will start with ~15-20 hours/week and can increase with time. This position is good for someone who has flexible hours and is looking to stay busy being active with dogs and making some extra income.

Responsibilities

Driving to each clients house and walking dogs on a regular basis, ensuring their safety and well-being Provide exercise and mental stimulation for dogs during walks Clean up after dogs during walks and dispose of waste properly Follow specific instructions provided by dog owners regarding their pets' care and behavior Ensure that dogs are leashed and under control at all times during walks Monitor dogs for any signs of distress or illness and report any concerns to the owner
Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age or older Must have a valid police check or be willing to obtain one Must have access to a reliable vehicle and G2/G license (bikes and buses will not be acceptable) Must have personal or professional experience with dogs Must be comfortable walking strong dogs Must be physically fit and able to walk in all weather conditions. Must have a working smart phone
Skills

Reliability is a big must for this job Exceptional time-management skills Physical fitness and the ability to walk strong dogs who pull Strong customer service skills to interact with clients in a professional and friendly manner Must work well independently Passion for animals and knowledge of basic dog behavior and handling techniques
Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
