Position Title: Private Companion - St. Paul, Alberta

Private Contract Position for CAPCC - Community Access for People in Continuing Care

Position Summary: Approx. 4-8 Hrs. /Month/Client- could potentially increase or decrease depending on client needs and activities.

Provide companion duties to individual(s) residing in long term care facility that are between the ages of 18-65. Planning and coordination of activities such as shopping, going on recreational outings or community events (depends on the individual clients needs). The aim of your activities will be to promote and maintain suitable community access and involvement.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities required

Strong people skills Skills and experience working with clients with disabilities Self motivated, dependable and can work independently Can handle change well A team player that has the ability to accept responsibility, and to cooperate and communicate with others to accomplish client's goals. Excellent time management skills Must have a strong command of the English Language.

Additional Qualifications

Must be bondable, 2 References total (1 Personal & 1 Professional) A current criminal record check including a Vulnerable Sector Search If transporting clients in personal vehicle, you must possess a valid driver's license and third party legal liability insurance. Ability to communicate by email/teams and has the ability to use Microsoft Word & Scanner or fax machine (to provide monthly invoicing)

Education & Previous Experience

:

Experience or training working with disabled clients preferred HCA/Recreation training desirable but not limited to
Hourly Rate to be negotiated and mileage reimbursed if transporting clients.
