Position Overview



As a

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

at Medicalux, you will be an integral member of a collaborative team that includes Nurse Practitioners, Medical Secretaries, and Administrative Staff.
You'll actively participate in client care -- from the moment the client arrives -- ensuring every visit is smooth, personalized, and clinically thorough.

Your role will include both clinical and client engagement responsibilities, with a strong focus on

intake assessment, health screening, and assisting the Nurse Practitioner with examinations and procedures

.

Key Responsibilities



Greet clients and review their

intake form

, clarifying health concerns and purpose of visit. Conduct focused

health interviews

and assist in identifying client priorities for the appointment. Perform

clinical measurements

(vital signs, weight, BMI, oxygen saturation, etc.) and assist with the

physical assessment

alongside the Nurse Practitioner. Prepare treatment rooms and maintain infection prevention and control standards. Support

occupational health clinics

(flu clinics, respiratory fit testing, audiometry, etc.) as required. Assist with minor procedures, specimen collection, and lab coordination. Educate clients on aftercare instructions, health promotion, and preventive care. Document all nursing interventions and findings in theEMR accurately and promptly. Participate in team discussions, quality improvement, and ongoing professional development. Contribute to a

collaborative, respectful, and positive clinic culture

aligned with Medicalux values.

Qualifications



Current registration as a

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

in good standing with the

ANBLPN

. Must be bilingual. Current

CPR/BLS certification

. Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and documentation skills. Excellent communication, empathy, and client service orientation. Ability to multitask and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced, team-based environment. Previous experience in primary care, occupational health, or aesthetics is an asset (training available). Proficiency with computers and EMR systems.
