We are currently seeking a

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

in the Abbotsford/ Mission area for a part-time position. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care to clients in their homes while overseeing and supporting field workers, to ensure quality care. You will also be responsible for reviewing care plans, monitoring client progress, and making necessary adjustments to support their well-being. Client care hours are flexible and can be adjusted to meet both client and staff availability.

JOB OVERVIEW:



Nursing care

Patients who are in need of skilled nursing care can rely on Caring Touch caregivers to handle all the special needs of each patient. Nursing care includes health care management, patient care such as changing dressings, monitoring patient treatment progress, and preparing patients for surgery.

Required Certifications:



Valid LPN license or permit to practice in this province, registered with BCCNM. Graduation certificate from an LPN Program.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:



MUST be qualified in/to perform:

Provide nursing care to stable patients. Perform wound care and apply sterile dressings. Take steps to control infection. Manage patient diets. Administer medication and monitor its effects. Provide care before and after an operation. Check on respiratory and intravenous therapy. Monitor and assess patient progress to support care decisions. Review care plans and ensure they align with patient needs. Educate patients and families on health management and medication. Advocate for patients' rights and collaborate on care plans. Consult with doctors and registered nurses to ensure quality care.

Additional Requirements:



Experience in Home Healthcare Settings. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families Ability to move around different locations I.e. Valid BC DL, own vehicle (Will need to provide a Driver Factor Report) Willing to undergo a Criminal Record Check (primary verification required). Proof of eligibility to work in CA CPR/First Aid 2 Professional References Immunization Record (Influenza required- Covid 19, Hep B, Tetanus, TB optional but recommended) Food Safe BC is recommended but optional WHMIS is a plus is recommended but optional
