Our client, a government entity in Saskatchewan, Canada, needs the services of a Privacy Analyst(s), to be a contributing member of the Cybersecurity and Risk Management Branch by delivering expertise to privacy related initiatives as assigned by the Branch.
Duties
Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments;
Performing Privacy Maturity Model Assessments, if/when requested;
Providing guidance to the Branch and its clients on privacy legislation and requirements;
Supporting breach responses for incidents involving privacy;
Conducting privacy focus groups and/or information sessions;
Liaise with GOS's Access and Privacy Officers to further strengthen maturity;
Creating and reviewing privacy policies and procedures, if/when necessary;
Preparing and delivering privacy training, if/when necessary; and
Other privacy-related tasks as determined through engagement in future initiatives
Mandatory Qualifications and Experience:
Demonstrated experience of direct responsibility for the development and delivery of Privacy Impact Assessments for a complex and/or multi-system technology solution within the last 5 years.
Demonstrated working experience with Federal and Provincial privacy laws and requirements.
Demonstrated working experience with the Saskatchewan's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and The Health Information Protection Act.
Other Required experience:
Demonstrated working experience with the Government of Saskatchewan or comparable entities, as it relates to the technical and business landscape.
Demonstrated working experience with Federal and Saskatchewan privacy laws and requirements.
Demonstrated experience developing and delivering Privacy Impact Assessments at a Provincial and/or Federal government level.
Demonstrated experience utilizing a privacy-by-design approach (or equivalent) to participating in the design and implementation of a solution.
Demonstrated experience contributing to the design and assessment of solutions that include biometrics.
Demonstrated experience performing research and analysis used to inform recommendations to advance privacy protection.
Demonstrated experience reviewing project proposals, initiatives and proof of concepts to identify information access and privacy issues and opportunities (e.g. duplication of data, security and privacy, enhance the quality and use of information).
Demonstrated working experience with information security policies, standards, methods, and best practices.
Demonstrated experience developing and independently managing work plans and project schedules, providing excellent customer service skills, and ensuring client needs are managed effectively.
Completed education and/or work experience in areas such as Business Administration, Computer Science, and/or a related field and/or privacy related certification(s).
