An exciting opportunity has opened for a Principal Analytics Manager to lead the delivery of analytics and data science into the Wealth business unit at Aviva. The Wealth business is a key growth area for Aviva Life and analytics has a key role to play in helping to craft the strategy and delivering for our customers through delivering innovative analytics solutions and insights.

With a great understanding of the exciting role analytics can play in shaping solutions for the business, this will allow you to work with the Wealth business unit to shape and deliver exciting projects. As a great leader you will manage the projects and work for the team, challenging and crafting solutions and finding exciting new ways to drive insights and actions from our data.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about making positive change, enjoy leading a team and working with a diverse range of people to bridge the gap between business outcomes and analytics products. You will also be a key member of the Life Analytics leadership team where we take pride in developing our people; we offer a range of opportunities for both technical and personal development and take a colleague-led approach to shaping the learning and development agenda across the team. A bit about the job:

The role will be responsible for detailed planning of individual projects, developing the approach and tracking progress \xe2\x80\x93 leading the team to develop, maintain and monitor the work. Working closely with stakeholders you will build great relationships to understand and shape their demands \xe2\x80\x93 translating that into a forward looking book of work. As the key lead you will provide oversight and challenge to the team - providing the leadership of the work and ensure quality and value of delivery is understood and measured. As a key member of the Analytics Leadership team \xe2\x80\x93 you will also enjoy working collaboratively to spot opportunities for reuse and help to craft and grow our future capability.

Skills and experience we are looking for:

• 
  Hands on experience of a range of analytics techniques to drive insights into our customer base \xe2\x80\x93 such as propensity modelling, customer behaviour and characteristics
• 
  Excellent leadership and collaborator skills to build and shape solutions across a broad range of people with excellent communication and varied stakeholder management skills
• 
  Experience and an excellent understanding of delivering value from analytics and data science in a Financial Services setting
• 
  Hands on data science skills are desirable, but not essential for the role, we value a diverse range of thinking so the ability to work and shape solutions with technical experts is key
• 
  Experience with programming languages such as Python

  National salary between \xc2\xa365,000 - \xc2\xa375,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
