We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with experience in women's health to join our Women's Health Clinic offering bio-identical HRT and complementary and alternative medicine to women of all ages.
In this supportive role, you will be helping the lead physician with back-end admin work, responding to patient emails and acute concerns that occur between planned appointments, and prescription renewals. There may be the opportunity in the future to grow the role and conduct follow-up appointments with patients. .
Setting
:
The clinic offers services to women (and some men) struggling with hormone imhalance such as PCOS, PMDD, perimenopause, menopause and andropause. The services are uninsured- patients pay privately to access complementary and alternative medical treatments. Customer service is highly important and attention to details is necessary. The treatment approach is holistic and includes conventional and alternative medical treatments depending on the context.
Responsibilities
Review lab results as they come in, correlate with charts and call back patients as appropriate
Review emails from patients and respond accordingly, which may include ordering tests, conducting brief phone/virtual calls, or making referrals
Review hormone prescription renewal requests and authorize renewals
Communicate with admin staff and lead medical doctor when needed regarding patient care
Be the "right hand" support for the lead doctor
Pre-requisites;
Experience with PS Suite by Telus is a very strong advantage
Experience in primary care medicine/women's health
Having experience presribing conventional HRT is helpful
Availability on a daily (M-F) basis for approximately 1 hour (with the option for the hours to grow as the role grows)
Ability to work remotely
Be a member of the Ontario Nurses Association
