Logistics company seeks Pricing Analyst Trainee

Position offers training and growth opportunities. Seeking entry level candidates with 1-3 years experience and degreed in a related field of expertise
Location- Ontario, CA 91761
Compensation- $22.00 per hour
Hours 7:00 am to 3:30 PM, with half hour lunch

The Pricing Analyst Trainee will act as a centralized resource for costing and pricing decisions. The purpose of the role is to establish, maintain and analyze pricing and to make recommendations to the Sales and Operations teams that drive volume and revenue growth to the Less Than Truckload business operation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide all LTL pricing ranging from spot rate requests to formal RFPs.
• Manage the process from receipt through submission including; coordinating with operations and sales throughout the process to develop pricing at levels that provide contribution the
• Provide regular and ad hoc pricing analysis and reporting for Management and Sales.
• Analyze historical data and market data to identify opportunities to increase margins, improve carrier base and reduce cost while growing business.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree Finance, Business, Math, Statistics, Data Analysis, or Operations & Supply Chain Management.
• Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills required.
• Proficiency with Excel and the proven ability to manage complex data and summarize results and knowledge.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to identify all cost elements within complex RFP\'s.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail. Ability to work as a team player.
• Innovative; uses creativity and good judgment to develop solutions and resolve issues.
