The Opportunity

As part of our Logistics Team, the Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing sustainable rates that are both consistent with the company\xe2\x80\x99s corporate goals and meet operational needs. The Pricing Analyst will utilize software for lane analysis of past shipments and create action plans to improve profitability on a lane-by-lane basis.

Primary duties and responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the responses to bids/tenders to ensure all departments have provided the required information so that deadlines are met.
  • Create Pricing Solutions for new business opportunities, utilizing financial models and optimization tools
  • Effectively manage high volume of requests
  • Work with Invoicing to support any requirements they may have with respect to rates and billing
  • Update and maintain accurate quotations in rate software application
  • Analyze customer data to develop understanding of their shipment profile and service requirements
  • Develop efficient distribution solutions considering carrier partner network capabilities.
  • Maintain customer and vendor pricing system
  • Develop financial reports for ad hoc analyses to support different internal initiatives
  • Able to work well under pressure, perform and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Assist with research and analysis of data in support of management decisions
  • Perform other related duties as required
What you need to be successful in the role:
  • Post-secondary education
  • Minimum 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Logistics/Transportation industry
  • Experience with RFP\xe2\x80\x99s and RFQ\xe2\x80\x99s, specializing in Domestic US
  • Possesses a good working knowledge of North American geography
  • Advanced computer skills with the ability to work in databases and spreadsheets
