Our core businesses include Mobile Crane & Rigging, Highway Infrastructure Maintenance and Construction, On / Off Highway Bulk Commodity Hauling, Specialized Heavy Hauling, Oilfield Services, Mine Contracting, Proppant Supply and Logistics, and General On-Site Services.
We are looking to expand our operations areas and are preparing a response to an RFP announced by Parsons Corporation for the Giant Mine Reclamation Project.
As such, LaPrairie is looking for qualified professionals to join our Team should we be successful in procuring the contract for this project.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Preventative Maintenance Plan (PMP) Inventory Control System (ICS) Coordinator will maintain the Preventative maintenance plan and Inventory Control Systems.
Duties & Responsibilities, Include, but are not limited to:
  • Adhere to and follow all Client and LaPrairie\xe2\x80\x99s policies and procedures, with a strong focus on safety and environment polices
  • During the transition period, the PMP Coordinator will review operating and maintenance data for existing stationary equipment and systems located on site. They will prepare best management practices where no information exists.
  • Throughout the project:
    • Maintain records on site in accordance with Northwest Territories MHSA
    • Maintain existing and new records in an orderly and accurate state
    • Issue PM reports as part of the Subcontractor\xe2\x80\x99s monthly report
    • Provide a weekly PMP Maintenance Report to the MCM Area Construction Superintendent
    • Organize PMP and ICS as follows:
    • Primary systems and sub-systems by facility
    • List of equipment including details of equipment
    • Operation of equipment for normal procedures and emergency procedures
    • List of maintenance tasks including maintenance task schedule and task narratives
    • Document required maintenance as follows:
    • Create work orders from a master record for each routine maintenance and repair activity
    • Create work orders for routine, cyclical maintenance tasks at scheduled frequencies throughout the calendar year
    • Create specific work orders for each breakdown/repair work activity
    • Schedule maintenance work orders and non-routine repair work orders to identify and include, but not limited to, the following:
      • system name
      • equipment name
      • priority
      • workforce requirements
      • if mandated by legislation of AHJ:
      • task narrative
      • safety hazards
      • hours assigned
      • tables to enter
      • test results
      • system parameters
      • comments box for feedback and sign off by maintenance staff
      • schedule work order priority as follows:
      • health and safety
      • environmental
      • operating efficiency
    • Enter the following on each completed work order.
      • Date and time
  • Analyze and troubleshoot PMP and ICS system issues at all levels (day to day issues as well and larger systematic problems)
  • Advise management on system setup and best-practices to ensure the Maintenance Management System complies with industry standards and best-practices
  • Advise management on important maintenance and warranty KPI\xe2\x80\x99s
  • Coordinate Asset on-boarding into the system, ensuring proper completion of the process
  • Coordinate and maintain the asset location assignments and equipment life cycle workflows
  • Track, analyze and report the equipment life cycle costs of the fleet of equipment, determine if a piece of equipment should be repaired, rebuilt, sold or replaced
  • Attend and support scheduled maintenance meetings for the various groups
  • Provide major equipment rebuild budgets through TMW planner and estimator module prior to work being approved or performed
  • Coordinate and maintain the OEM and after-market warranty programs within the MMS system
  • Update the maintenance, accounting, and disbursement codes within the system
  • Oversee and maintain system security and role-based access according to corporate security requirements and industry best-practices
  • Test and coordinate system updates, upgrades, patches and new features
  • Coordinate system integration with 3rd party vendors and external apps, suggesting improvements and optimizations where appropriate
  • Prepare key maintenance performance indicators (KPl)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Minimum 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Preventative Maintenance and Inventory Control.
  • Proficiency with TMW software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.
  • Must work independently and plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written).
  • Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities capable of handling pressure and challenges.
  • Comprehensive understanding of local, territorial, and federal construction regulations.
